ASDF Company Bengaluru Experience

After being kicked off very badly. Now I am searching for a job like dog again. Searching, searching I landed up in a job after 2 months then on June end 2009 through a stupid FDSA consultancy. The consultancy cheated me by telling more pay earlier and offering me less pay on the offer letter. The consultancy representative told this is what is offerred and for me job was most important then or I didn't know the importance of salary :). It was training time in job, again that project didn't come to ASDF. Next I was put into Project-B there. There also I could stay for only 2 months. Project downsize there again. I was finally put into SQA Team based on my interview. There again, it was my another visit to Hell. I am still in Hell believe me :(. The SQA manager was content with my work, that she herself asked me to find out the procedure for making me on roll. Then on it was path to hell. I approached the Testing head of ASDF. She acted like a Govt servant and spoke to my manage

ABC Company Bengaluru Experience - II

The US or Canada oppurtunity was only news. It never happened or neither did I get any onsite till date. My business unit change or even manager assignment was not done even then. Then news came we need to look for other projects. One of my friend Ramya referred me to Project-C. I cleared the interview. I joined the project. I was much relaxed then to get a chance to work in a Project after a long struggle. There I learnt Manual Testing & RFT on my interest. I was not much aware of the work place ploitics then. That year in 2008 again, I got low rating for not much work clocking since I wasn't assigned with the new BU manager or did not get utilisation or it was politics against me. I was sadened to the core. Being one of the core contributor with directly writing test cases straight away, I had been rewarded with a low rating after hour or so of argument with my Manager. Not loosing my heart, I worked. All the tough or database related test cases were assigned to me. The en

My Job Journey after C-DAC

Wow. I am approaching the Cantonment railway station. I jus enjoyed the fresh smell of Bengaluru in the night in the train. Really, I never knew Bengaluru was with so special fragrance till that evening. I had sprain/ strained my leg. I couldn't walk easily :(. This happened to me for nearly 3 or 4 months from that day. I don't know what caused it. Yes, coming to the job search. again it was applying here & there. Finally one day i got a call from a small company IJKL who were working on maps and relate stuff. It was work on a pocket PDA program to be able to locate the PDA itself in the map. Wow, it sounded interesting. We used embedded VC++ then. Very complicated, with Microsoft's VC++, it was three much for my brain. I heard news that the Company had history for not paying employees @ times. Learning also was difficult for me there. With these 2 main constraints, I suddenly stopped going to work. This may be after the second week I joined there. Not to mention, th

C-DAC Embedded Systems Experience

I tried, tried and tried. I didn't ind a job for myself. My brother was working in XYZi then. he suggested me to do join C-DAC for any course. Their Company XYZi go to recruit for every training batch passed out of C-DAC. Hmmm. I jus gav the entrance exam one sunday for the so called Diploma in Embedded Systems Design. Believe me, I just blindly gave the entrance test. I got selected for the Chennai branch. I was surprised. The fees wasn't any less. It was nearly 40k for course plus 20k for my expenditure for 5months in Chennai. Like minded friends I got in C-DAC who were really very talented, but not able to land up in a very desirable job. Few left their jobs to learn embed systems and find a better job. Whoops, we Indians are really great I thought then. One most important fact I learnt during my course in C-DAC is Linux. Wow, what a gift to my life from C-DAC. I always wanted to work on Linux from then on. Unfortunately till date I didn't get a chance to do so til

ABC Company Bengaluru Experience - I

It is Nov 2006. The month which I officially think was the month I was in a job. I joined the ABC Company which has one of the highest workforce that any Company has. Atleast to my knowledge. The induction program was offered with Sodex-Ho coupons to pay for our lunch. I was somewhat pleased with the coupon. Since I was about to have lunch from my own earned money. The day I will never forget :). After the lunch it was all good time with induction and all. We had nearly around 3 months of technical, VNA and other training. It was time to be allotted into projects. In the interview I had answered that I would be happy if I were in day shift for the job. Gone, the oppurtunity to work in that Account flew away with that answer.......... Gosh........The contract end date is approaching. Luckily we got interview for the Server operations profile. I gave the interview 1st. I got selected. Luckily no one asked me about the working in shifts :). It was nearly one year I worked there with a

VTU Exam Approach

Hi Folks, I write here my varying experiences I encountered and mastered the approach to write Karnataka State VTU engineering exams. At least to my knowledge. I passed out my engineering in 2005 after loosing a year in between. The reason being not that I did not study, but I did not know how to study for BE - VTU syllabus engineering. After the lost year I hardly had any back logs. This is simply because I had mastered the art of scoring in VTU. Believe me, I hardly worked as much as I did when I failed. In fact, I spent most of my time seaching for what to study in the text book after seeing my syllabus. Since this was difficult, I also tried going through previous QP's with answers. h approach also didn't fetch me enough marks. What approach led me to ashieve better results was easier and brought me more satisfaction. What I did was 1) buy the most important text books 2) check the syllabus and mark what was needed to study in the text book. 3) finally read only for 8
